D & L Auction has been in business for over 15 years. We are locally owned and operated. Our auctioneer has more experience auctioneering than most other auctioneers locally. We specialize in on site auctions but will also move items off site to sell if you prefer. We have conducted auctions from Fairbanks to Delta Junction and assisted with auctions in the Anchorage and Wasilla area. We have also assisted with auctions in the lower 48.
We have conducted auctions for local governments and state agencies to include, the City of Fairbanks, Fairbanks North Star Borough, University of Alaska, Golden Valley Electric, AT & T Alaska and Ghemm Company and assisted with auctioneering services for the State of Alaska.
We have conducted auctions commercially for many local business owners including Regan Steel, Alaska Flooring, Alaska Development Services, Interior Towing, Badger Towing, Alaska Highway Services, Arctic Thunder, and Lundeens Body Shop. We have conducted Superior court ordered auctions for example, Grizzly Lodge (overseen be Neiwohner and Associates) and Leonard Westover Estate. We have conducted hundreds of auctions for private individuals also who may need estates liquidated or may be leaving the state. We work closely with some of the attorneys in Fairbanks liquidating estates, such as Rita Allee, Hompesch and Evans and Neiwohner and Associates. We have worked with estate guardian services also. We have conducted auctions for prominent individuals in our community such as Robert Fowler, the Schikora's, the Haydon's, the West's and the Regans.
We have done benefit auctions for the National Rifle Association, Far North Christian School, Fairbanks Christian School, Jubilee Christian School, Two Rivers Community Church of the Nazarene and Ducks Unlimited. We continue to do benefit auctions for Alaska Outdoor Council.
We operated a local auction house for over 10 years holding anywhere from 1 to 3 auctions per week selling hundreds of lots at each auction ranging from household items, to firearms, vehicles (cars, trucks etc), surplus law enforcement vehicles, heavy equipment such as dump trucks, skid steers, front end loaders, graders, Euclid scrapers, backhoes, farm tractors, forklifts, boom trucks, fire trucks, water trucks, ambulances, paratransit vans, zamboni, gravel spreading trucks, paving machines, bull dozers, equipment trailers, along with accessories/attachments, recreational vehicles such as motorhomes, motorcycles, 3 and 4 wheeler, snow machines, and jet skiis. We have sold gold, silver, coins, jewelry, misc. surplus and more.
Attendance for some of the auctions that we have conducted has been in the hundreds and grossed millions in sales. Our company is well versed in all aspects of items to be sold and the auction services required to provide top of the line professional services. We are bonded and insured.
STAFF
Auctioneer: Lee Schultz has been involved in auctions for over 30 years. He has 19+ years auctioneering experience. He has auctioned in McDonalds Auction House in Anchorage and has assisted North Pacific Auctioneers in Anchorage and Fairbanks with auctioneering services. he has auctioned various places in the lower 48 states. He has assisted Van Bowman and Denver Copeland, both previous owners of Fairbanks Auction with auction services from ringing to auctioneering. He has been an auctioneer in Fairbanks longer than any other advertised local auctioneers. He oversees all auctions services.
Office Manager: Debbie Schultz has been involved in auctions for over 25 years. She is our Clerk, Ring person, Cashier, Setup, Advertising person, accounts receivable, and accounts payable. She fills in wherever needed. She has assisted Fairbanks Auction with previous owner Denver Copeland in auctions. She has assisted North Pacific Auctioneers with auctions in Fairbanks.
Senior Ring Person: Ed Colburn has been involved in auctions for over 60 years. He has been with D & L Auction for over 15 years. He has assisted with auctions for Fairbanks Auction with Van Bowman and Denver Copeland, both previous owners. He is well known by auction goers in the community as far back as anyone can remember. He assists in our auctions as a ring person who specifies which item is being sold so auction goers know exactly what is being bid on and marks who is winning bidder.
Cashiers: Our cashiers have 20+ years of cash handling experience each. They also assist with setup and security if necessary.
Set up Staff: The staff we use for setup have many years experience in taking care moving and setting up auctions.
